Esta Festa deveria ser inaugurada na quinta-feira dia 26 de Agosto, contudo por virtude de chuvas torrenciais, ficou então alterada para o dia seguinte a festa inicialmente foi animada com um conjunto musical de Jersey depois finalizada com um conjunto musical vindo especialmente da Madeira, intitulado “Os Lordes”

Este evento teve lugar no “ People’s Park” em St. Helier organizado por Martyn Farley da “Media Masters Creative Services” em colaboração com seis proprietários portugueses das barracas que ali se encontravam e patrocinadores daquele acontecimento.

No Sábado encontravam-se cerca de 3 a 4 mil pessoas, esta festa foi animada com um conjunto de Jersey, um Grupo folclórico tradicionalmente Madeirense recentemente fundado na Ilha de Jersey, bem como o conjunto Os Lordes.

No Domingo ao meio dia realizou-se uma Missa Campal celebrada pelo Monsenhor Nicholas France da Igreja Católica de São Thomas Ilha de Jersey, a missa foi cantada por um grupo Coral Português da mesma Igreja bem como participada com cerca de duas centenas de fiéis portugueses e frequentadores da Igreja. Depois da missa a festa continua com a programação habitual e muitos participantes portugueses bem como visitantes da ilha vizinha de Guernsey e habitantes de ambas Ilhas.

Na segunda-feira dia 30 de Agosto Feriado para as ilhas e o Reino Unido, este evento terminou com muita gente e animação e com os mesmos artistas e uma visita especial vindo de Portugal, o cantor Fernando Correia Marques.

This festival should have been inaugurated on Thursday the 26th of August, but by virtue of torrential rain, was then changed to the following day, the festival was initially entertained by a group from Jersey then finished with a musical group prearranged especially from Madeira namely "The Lords"

This event took place at the "People's Park in St. Helier organised by Martyn Farley's" Creative Media Masters Services in collaboration with six Portuguese owners of the stalls that were there and sponsors of that event.

On Saturday were about 3-4 thousand people, this festival was animated with a group of Jersey, and a traditional Madeiran folk group recently founded in the Isle of Jersey, as well the Lords group from Madeira.

On Sunday at noon held an outdoor Mass celebrated by Monsignor Nicholas France Catholic Church of St. Thomas Island of Jersey, the Mass was sung by a Portuguese choir from the same Church and about two hundred Portuguese worshipers and church goers. After Mass the celebration continues with the usual programming and many Portuguese and visitors from the neighbouring island of Guernsey and inhabitants of both islands.

On Monday, 30th August, Bank Holiday to the islands and the UK, this event ended with many people and entertainment with the same artists and a special visit come from Portugal,singer Fernando Correia Marques.
